We are pleased to announce TICP's new series open for registration to TICP Members, TICP Guest Members, and TICP candidates. The Toronto Institute for Contemporary Psychoanalysis is pleased to present an ongoing series of interviews inviting senior, experienced psychoanalysts to reflect on what they identify as distinctive and familiar elements in their clinical style and therapeutic presence. Beyond theoretical alignments, these discussions explore the contingent factors that have shaped each analyst’s ways of understanding and intervening clinically. Participants reflect on contributions arising from their temperament, early life experiences, education, cultural and political backgrounds, unforeseen life events, and aesthetic sensibilities. Additionally, they consider the "photographic negative" of these influences by examining their characteristic blind spots, vulnerabilities, and limitations. A donation to offset the cost of the event when registering is appreciated.
